Samantha Garbis Goss

Attorney

Samantha (“Sam”) Garbis Goss was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. However, she has lived in Houston, Texas most of her life.

In 1998, she attended University of the Incarnate Word to play soccer.  She later transferred to Texas A&M University at College Station, Texas where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science in 2001.  She then obtained her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in Houston in 2005.

Sam has served as a child support officer for the Texas Attorney General, a law clerk for Dan Hoffman while in law school, and continued with the firm as an attorney upon her graduation from law school in 2005.  She has been a staff attorney with Dan’s practice since she was licensed in November of 2005 and has assisted the firm with legal, accounting, and management issues related to  entity formation, purchase, growth, and sale of businesses, as well as estate planning, probate and commercial litigation.

In her spare time, Sam enjoys running, soccer, the outdoors, attending Aggie football games, volunteering in The Woodlands community, and spending time with friends and family.  In 2014, she completed the Memorial Hermann “10 For Texas”.

    Daniel J. Hoffman

    Attorney & Certified Public Accountant

    Dan was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Indiana University at Bloomington in 1980, attended Notre Dame Law School as a visiting student, and obtained his Juris Doctor from DePaul University in Chicago, in 1986.

    Dan served as an auditor and tax accountant for Price Waterhouse, one of the eight largest accounting firms at that time. He was also a tax accountant for Beatrice Foods, a Fortune 500 company with products like Samsonite and Tropicana. Later, he was a controller and national sales manager for J & B Products, a specialty plumbing manufacturer, a staff attorney for Hahn, Walz, Knepp, and Dvorak, a law firm specializing in business law, and an administrator for Hand Surgery Centres of Texas and related entities, a group surgery/therapy practice.

    Dan formed his own practice in 1993 and continues to practice law and accounting with his staff of attorneys and accountants. Their scope includes assisting clients with various legal, accounting, and management issues, related to the formation, purchase, growth, and sale of businesses, as well as individual tax and accounting issues.

    Dan’s accounting and law practice is located in The Woodlands, Texas, where he also resides with his wife Cheryl.  In his free time, Dan enjoys scuba diving, piano, tennis, yoga and being involved with Big Brothers, Big Sisters.
